A Successful Summer for Film
September 7, 2017
This past summer was a gold mine for successful films. Moviegoers were presented with an incredible variety of stories, from a deadly war for survival between an army of humans and a group of intelligent apes (War for the Planet of the Apes), to a pair of pranksters who hypnotize their principal into becoming a superhero (Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie). With the evolution of digital entertainment rapidly moving to homes, it is truly impressive that movie theaters can still attract such a huge audience.
Out of all of the films released this summer, the majority of students polled at West Bloomfield High School watched Spiderman: Homecoming. War for the Planet of the Apes clocked in at second and Cars 3 at third. The future for the film industry looks hopeful here at WBHS, with this past summer being solid evidence.
