The West Bloomfield School District made a last minute change to the district calendar. Midterm elections are coming up, and the district decided to take off for the day.

According to the calendar on the official West Bloomfield District website, we have school that day. They recently posted on the site that school was to be cancelled on November 6th, showing that it was a last minute decision.

Originally, the voter turnout wasn’t expected to be so high. However, it is expected that the usual amount of voters will increase. In order to avoid disruption in the schools during voting, and to give all potential voters a chance to participate, the district made this change.

Students and staff, enjoy your election day! But, be sure to exercise your right to participate in this democratic process, if you can!
