On Wednesday, September 18th, 2013, the women’s varsity volleyball team played their last game of the year. This game was definitely not an easy one to win. The Lakers played two games against two different teams. In the first game, their competition was South Lyon East High School. The ending score was 12-25 with the Lakers bringing in the win. In the second game, their competition was Pioneer High School of Ann Arbor. The ending score was 14-25 with the Lakers bringing in another win. Throughout these games, senior, Jordan White had five kills and two aces. “This was our first time playing five matches in a row. It was good to see how long we could last”, says Jordan White as she comments on their victory. Injured senior Briana Benge says, “This was some of our hardest competition but, we played hard and won. Our middles did an especially good job in these two games. It was really good because they improved.” Two victories were a great way to end the season. Good job, Lakers!
